1. The Somatotypes: Biology Meets Fabric

Created by psychologist William Sheldon, somatotypes categorize the human physique based on tissue layers. Why does this matter for fashion? Because it dictates fabric weight.

A. The Ectomorph (The Linear Frame)

Do your shoulders/ribcage push the fabric out sideways before it falls down?

  • Test: When you wear a button-down shirt, do the buttons pull at the chest/shoulders even if it fits the waist?
  • Diagnosis: You have Dominant Width.

3. The Golden Ratio (1:1.618)
