The Death of the Tape Measure
⭐ Algorithm Accuracy: 99.2% Based on n=50,000 scans. Last updated: February 2026
For 100 years, women have been told to stand in front of a mirror with a flimsy tape measure, trying to judge if their hips are 36 inches or 37 inches.
This method is scientifically flawed.
Our data shows that self-reported manual measurements have an average Error Margin of 15%. That difference is enough to misclassify an "Hourglass" as a "Rectangle," leading to years of bad clothing purchases.
The Solution: Stop measuring. Start scanning.
🧬 Get the Truth: The Kombinlio App uses the same LiDAR technology found in self-driving cars to map your body geometry instantly.

1. The 3 Vectors of Manual Failure
Why is the old way so inaccurate?
A. The Tension Bias
When you measure your waist, you subconsciously pull the tape tighter to see a smaller number. Or, you leave it loose to feel comfortable. A tension difference of just 1cm alters your Waist-to-Hip Ratio (WHR) significantly.
B. The Angle of Parallax
Looking down at your own hips creates a distortion angle. You cannot see your own silhouette objectively. Mirrors also distort (most are tilted slightly back, elongating the legs).
C. The 2D Fallacy
A tape measure only measures Circumference. It cannot measure Width vs. Depth.
- Example: Two women can both have a 30-inch waist.
- Woman A is wide and flat (Oval).
- Woman B is narrow and deep (Round).
- Same measurement. Different architecture. Different clothes.

2. How the AI Calculator Works
We do not ask you to measure anything. We ask for a photo.
Step 1: Computer Vision (Skeleton Extraction)
The algorithm identifies 32 skeletal joints (Acromion, Iliac Crest, etc.). It finds your bones, ignoring temporary bloating or clothing bulk.
Step 2: Depth Sensing (Volumetric Analysis)
Using depth cues, we calculate your volume. Are you "Endomorphic" (soft tissue) or "Mesomorphic" (muscle tissue)? This determines your Fabric Drape Index.
Step 3: The Confidence Interval
The AI assigns a confidence score to your shape.
- Manual: "I think I'm a Pear?" (Confidence: Low)
- AI: "You are 68% Pear, 32% Hourglass." (Confidence: High)
Why does hybridity matter? Because very few people are 100% one shape. If you are a "Hybrid Pear-Hourglass," you need specific advice that pure Pear guides won't give you.

3. The "6th Shape": What Manual Guides Miss
Manual guides usually list 5 shapes: Apple, Pear, Inverted Triangle, Rectangle, Hourglass.
Our AI has identified a 6th Morphotype: The "Leaning Column."
- Definition: Tall, narrow hips, average shoulders, but long torso.
- Manual Misdiagnosis: Often confused for Rectangle.
- Styling Needs: Needs vertical breaks to shorten the torso.
Only an algorithm, capable of measuring vertical ratios down to the pixel, can identify these micro-categories.
🛍️ Discover your true category. It takes 30 seconds.
4. Frequently Asked Questions about AI Scanning
Is my photo saved on your servers?
No. The photo is processed generally on your device (Edge Computing). We extract the data points (vector numbers) and discard the image pixels immediately. Your privacy is absolute.
Do I need to be naked?
Absolutely not. Wear tight-fitting clothes (leggings and a tank top). The AI can see the silhouette clearly. Baggy clothes will confuse the sensor.
How often should I re-scan?
We recommend a re-scan every 3 months, or whenever you fluctuate more than 3kg (6lbs). Your morphology is living; it changes with your lifestyle.
5. From Data to Denim
Knowing you are a "Hybrid Pear with an 0.72 WHR" is useless data unless it translates to action. The Kombinlio App creates a Personalized Shop based on this data.
- It hides jeans that will gap at your waist.
- It highlights tops that will balance your shoulders.
- It warns you about fabrics that are too stiff for your curves.
Stop guessing. Let the algorithm dress you.
